I wouldn't send a £20k lens by RMSD.

Neither would I. Trouble is that RM and most couriers won't cover glass items (lenses included) for insurance. That said, lensforhire use couriers but I would assume that they have their own cover.

Anyway, I cannot see *any* lens being worth that much.

not actually too bad a deal, UAV kit is crazy expensive search 'draganfly' for some really cool quadcopter stuff, loads of uses not just in photo + video, but law enforcement and military too (though the prices for those will doubtless balloon!)
