If you could have....

Yeh, I'll leave you clueless mugs to imagine what you will.

...a second home - a holiday home if you will, anywhere in the world...where would it be, and why?

Alicante. Lovely city. Not too big. An uncrowded 7.5km sandy beach that the great unwashed don't know about because they stupidly go to Chavidorm, perfect climate and wonderful light for photography, Las Hogueras de San Juan and the corrida de toros that goes with it. Sun, sea, culture, paella, tapas, Semana Santa, cosmopolitan (because it's home to OHIM/OAMI) and just lovely.

Somewhere cold where it snows! Maybe canada for the gorgeous scenery and everything. Or maybe New Zealand.

Though right now I'd prefer anywhere it doesn't rain!

Antalya - fantastic weather, enough off the beaten trial to be interesting. Ski slopes and beaches too

Antigua is my favourite Carribbean Island and citizenship comes, IIRC, when you buy a $400,000 property but Yv prefers Grenada next door and since it's a bit richer and calmer and we know many more friends with family on Grenada, she'd probably have the final say!

Linky : Away from the rest of the world, self contained, do whatever I want whenever I want, beautiful weather, corals, fish . . . heaven.

A lady after my own heart, isolation is part of my desire for Ireland as having visited a number of times you really can get away from the rat race, but yours is possible the ultimate example and if I had the money oh hell yes I'd do it...

I already have a second home on the North Coast of Ireland......Well it was my first home until I moved to England......but I would love a third home and it would probably be in France......

@MWHCVT This one is even affordable :D

Now if I could just work remotely every day to keep on paying for it . . . ahh well. Nice to dream!

That'll do me :D even has mobile coverage should I need it  though of course if I get the money to afford it I might need an accountant  and it says there's a house and three bungalows on the island so one could be for my accountant, one for a cleaner and one for a chef...yeah this is sounding like a plan :D now where did I put that winning lottery ticket

Mine would beLake Tahoe.
Preferably east (Nevada) or North (CA), but anywhere with an elevated lake view will do.
Been there so many times and it never gets old.

Now I just need those magic numbers

Bavaria Germany..Spent many a time down there Winter and summer just love the place and there are lots of small villages that have some great scenery and not too touristy
Cola in Italy or around Imola both have great villages and have lots going for them or they did the last time i was there. Great food too boot.

For me, I like Pembrokeshire, or France, there's a great spot down towards st jean de angeley which is far enough down to get the good weather but with a really interesting mix of locations.

A friend has a place down that way and we visit often.
