Went for a trip to Mifsuds today and bought a New Canon Outfit.

5D Body, 17-40mm f/4 L, 70-200mm f4 L IS USM, Will buy the 100mm f2.8 macro next week and possible a 2x Convertor to fit the 70-200.

Just got to sell all my Nikon kit now before she finds out.

If boozy posted the question in this thread, what's preventing you from posting the answer here too?
(It would add to your post count, getting you closer to being allowed in the 'sale' section too!).
 
I'm new to the forum, didn't want anyone to think I was taking the Micky posting a list of items for sale on a ordinary thread.

If anyone was really interested I am sure they would have sent me a PM and I would let them know what was available and at what price.

Flippin' eck old boy. If I'd bought that lot I'd be expecting to get killed by my wife and I'd probably think I decerved it too! :-)

PS. Well done my man. How are you finding the 5D?

Tis a bit of a problem that one!

I have only managed to have a play with that lens when the wife popped out for an hour. Think she may also notice that the strap is now not black/yellow with Nikon on it.
 
get yourself a tin of black paint ;) :D

Whoa, you have balls of steel my friend. Thats some impressive kits you've got yourself. Even more impressive is the fact that you already had a kit to start with and have changed sides. Good luck. Hope the bruising does down quickly so you can see out the view finder.

Oh, I've heard that the 2x converter is soft. The 1.4 is supposed to be much better.

Well, here's hoping that you love the 5D it certainly has it's own little fan base, and I'm a fully paid up member :)
 
First, get yourself a neoprene strap (? Optech ?) and fit it to the Nikon. If/when the wife notices, tell her it's to help carry the load (as it happens, they ARE a lot more comfortable than the ones supplied). Once you're over THAT hurdle, stick the strap on the new body and pray that your wife can't tell the difference between a Nikon and a Canon. As for that white lens, I'm told a can of black paint will hide your folly!

Woo, man, I love my missus, she's soo chilled out, she just usually go's "huuuuuuuuu tut tut" however in your case...mmwuuhahaha

a. Tell her she's gone colourblind hence the white looking lenses
b. Buy yourself a tent - for the garden
and last but not least..

-Sleep with one eye open

Just got a 5D myself with a similar predicament... only I didn't even have anything to sell :(:(:(

Still it was used the other day with no quibbles so far ;)
 
thats a simple one to remedy, say you swapped one of your other lenses for it:thumbs:
 
women can't understand them my missus takes me to trafford park the other week i brought her a dress a pair of shoes and a handbag total around £150 then she gets the hump when we go to apple shop and i buy a imac!
 
you need to upgrade the firmware to 135.299 this makes the wife mute and this disables the "i want a divorce" function

if you install 135.888 from www.goawaywife.net
this enables sleep and quality photography from your new kit.

black paint will not fool the wife as clearly canon cameras will take better photos......................................................................................:exit:
