If it's bad now, it's going to be a disaster when Obama goes

I'm looking forward to president Trump, I think he'll set the world on fire.;)
Be careful what you wish for! :naughty:

They are not renowned for always choosing a head of state who knows they are not the only country in the world.

It will be a disaster by the time Obama is finished but Mr Trump will do his best to clean up all this mess. I trust he will actually stamp out ISIS instead of just talking and creating yet another terrorist group to fight the older ones.

Is this just a candidate for dumb post of the month, or do you actually believe it? I do struggle sometimes to get the intonation.

Trump. The man who tried to boot an 80 year old lady out of her home in order to "honour" his own mother :( I absolutely despise the man.

What was that then?

Was speaking to someone when in California a couple of months ago, was very vocal about 'Obahhma', quite racist views, a black man in charge.
Asked what we thought of him, wasn't impressed when I suggested he was the best President the US had had in several years. Committed to social change, making a difference.

I cannot decide who has the worst hair style, Trump or that Kim guy in NK.

They both stand about the same chance of being elected POTUS. :-)

His behaviour over The Menie Estate in Aberdeenshire when he was building his golf course.
You mean Molly Forbes who lives in a pigsty?

So people who live in less than ideal conditions deserve to be treated badly by millionnaires? Where do we draw the line?
Not what I said at all. I simply agree with him that it is an eyesore and they live in a pigsty. Their choice naturally.

It may not be a pretty property but the way he treated the people living up there was disgusting.
Alway two sides to a story....In what way then?

I'm not sure why you think I need to justify myself to you?

I know many ways. Ways that have been well documented and ways that i'm aware of from having a family connection in the area.

Jeez, I was only asking. I wasn't requesting a justification, but surely if you state your opinion you know why you think that is the case. I am not a mind reader and wouldn't like to make an assumption, hence merely a friendly question as to why you think he or his organisation has treated Molly badly.

Not sure why that you be met with such an defensive and aggressive response.

He's going to be too busy building the great wall of Mexico to deal with ISIS. Some would call that an antiquated approach in this day and age, but not me. Clearly a man of history, Mr Trump.

That said I would have to agree, he's certainly the reasoned, diplomatic individual needed to consider a long-term viable solution for the current problems. I'd be worried if he was the sort of person who played up to public anxiety and didn't have the strength of character to stand up to the oppression of people everywhere and to go against the likes of Fox news, thankfully he is not that. Nor is he someone who doesn't actually have any answers to foreign policy, some politicians just come out with statements about how they will deal with issues without any specifics, or with completely unworkable solutions. Thankfully he is not that. I do however have doubts that his plan to fly to Syria, sit at a table, and tell all members of ISIS that they are fired is going to work, but who knows.

Yes, Trump, the man of the people, the businessman whose not gone bankrupt numerous times, with reasoned foreign policy not made up on the fly, a man to stand up for those most in need in the US and throughout the world, he is definitely the man I want in charge of a global super-power.

Obama vs Trump, there can be only one winner surely.

Just imagine the scenario, Trump, KimYung and Boris Johnson....the muppet show.

Agreed when taking literally, however;

pigsty
ˈpɪɡstʌɪ/
noun
  1. a pen or enclosure for a pig or pigs.
    • a very dirty or untidy house or room.
"she was fed up with living in a pigsty"
I think it was a pretty accurate reflection, perhaps harsh to some but then again the truth so often is.

Reminds me of that other older lady who refused to sell her boarding hotel in Atlantic City, was offered in the early nighties $4M after tax plus free housing for live in Florida, and she refused and refused. She did move and paid for herself, finally sold her empty dilapidated property on auction for $599K before tax. I respect anyone with principles, they are great, but sometimes they tread a fine line with stubbornness, also fine if you are happy to live with the consequences of your decisions.

I have no issue with either party, but fail to see what is so bad and wrong in this situation.

For a long time I wondered who the hell would vote for a buffoon like Boris Johnson. It boggles my mind. Then I realised that we have a population who is celebrity obsessed, brainwashed by the tabloids, choose Prime Ministers based on their looks and how posh they sound, and can't be bothered to read a manifesto or go out to vote.

In a democracy, you get the politicians you deserve.

just list the world "leaders" ............ and it makes you just wonder where it is all going

The Middle East, Africa, Asia, S and C America, India, China, Europe, etc., etc.

Interesting thing about Boris is that if you look past the buffon exterior and look at what he's done objectively...

And actually, on the infrequent times I find myself driving in London and often frustrated by the antics of cyclists along the embankment run, perhaps the superhighway might actually force them to stay in their own bloody lane

Fully agreed too many people get hung up on his presentation, yet if they actually looked at what he has established maybe they wouldn't be so judgemental.

Got to love the irony.

A least the trump (anyone else's family use that as a euphemism for a fart?) can remove his crap hairstyle instantly...

Would that be in the vein as many of the Corbyn attributes? You are indeed correct, you have got to love the irony.

The one positive thing I have to say about Boris - he actually engages with voters. However much people may dislike his policy, or general buffoonery, I do respect him for not hiding behind a troop of advisors that vet every statement.

Thus far the only 'believable' candidate for POTUS seems to be Hillary, which is mildly concerning. I'me very disappointed there's no-one else of greater stature.
