If I was a Motorway Copper

If I had of been a Motorway Copper in an unmarked car this morning, I would have given out s good few summonses and fixed penalties. While driving to Manchester Airport on the M56 this morning, I witnessed the following.

  • A wagon straying onto the hard shoulder, and swerving at the last minute to just miss a person changing a wheel.
  • Numerous people on their phones
  • A person swerved right across all lanes to leave junction without indicating, plus on phone and nearly taking my front off !
  • A speeding car in lane three, throwing what looked liked Mcdonalds rubbish out of the window.
  • A car with a child standing up in the back of the car.
  • A motorbike tailgating a car in lane three, biker was wearing shorts and Tshirt ( absolute madness tarmac is unforgiving to bare skin )
  • A passenger in a car kissing the driver, and car swerving violently into next lane
Just some of the reasons I don't like Motorway driving, just far too many stupid people driving!

On a good note, the planned Bridge demolition over the M56 had been done, and not any hold ups at all :)

I'm guessing that none of this behaviour would be caught on speed cameras though? :(
 
One of the interesting things about being on a motorbike is your advantages in vision, you get to see all sorts. I once saw a woman breastfeeding as she drove along. Regularly see mobile phone users, people with hands off the wheel rolling or getting cigarettes, map reading etc.

I ride bikes myself and yes agree with you there vision is pretty good, plus I was more aware when I am riding a bike. It's a bit like my senses are boosted somehow, maybe I am aware of my vulnerability on a bike..

I wonder just how far they chased that sucker, before managing to "fish tail" it, or at least get a stinger in its path!

Why to flash wagon drivers, people on buses etc?
 
Just fitted a dashcam after coming very close to getting wiped out by another driver.
You can't beat at bit of 1080 HD evidance :runaway:

Was thinking of getting one after someone force me off the road, just never got round to it.

I assume that its to cool off in hot days.
as women must suffer the equivalent of "betty swallocks"

TBH I would be surprised if they even realised that they can be seen,
The amount of times over the years I've *accidentally* noticed this type of behaviour.

Of course I stopped at the nearest local nick, did my civil duty, and reported the fact that I'd seen a flasher :D

I do recall a woman used to go naked in the woods some years ago, Police always raced to the scene to catch her. But she always eluded them somehow. Does anyone remember this, and was she ever caught ?

This is normal behaviour unfortunately - you clearly don't frequent the motorway very often :)

I have a feeling that if you happen to see a lady woman in a state of undress, you're a peeping Tom but if she sees you similarly attired, you're a flasher.

Normally you will see one then 3 weeks later the male chasing the origimal female giant tortoise will rock up ...... randy sod!
