Ideas / theme / day in the life of

So a college project I have been set is to take 36 - 50 photos on transparency film for a slide show.

The images must tell a story or be set to a theme of something. They also must be shot outdoors or indoors with naturdal light.

My mind is normally boggling with ideas but I'm at a blank right now. Let's see what genius ideas people can suggest for me

erm....off the top of my head, day in the life of a door. Set up infront of a door (one thats gonna get some interesting characters) and take shots of everyone thats comes and goes....yeah sounds crap to me too!

Hows about trying to make it a time lapse of somewhere? somewhere thats is going to change, any tidal lochs near you or anything?

I think that the whole idea of the project is for you yourself to come up with the theme and for you to show how creative you are? If you choose someone else's ideas it kind of defeats the object! You should endeavor to create your own style and your own idea's. Take shots of what you think are right and what work for you. Technical help and knowledge can be obtained from others but artistic content needs to stem from you. Sorry if I sound old fashioned but I believe that photography is a very personal thing.:boxer:

I was thinking a location - a crossroads or junction - where there will be a change in general 'busy' ness and people, or a market from dawn (setting up) til dusk ( shutting up)?

I had to do something like this recently for my course, although only had to shoot one film I had a tough time trying to work out what to do and in the end I used my student who was working alongside me to do ' a day in the life of a student midwife'. Got some really good shots. Other people on my course visited local shops, farms, garages, etc
