Hi all

Really posting on behalf of my brother who's a graphic designer, but also does a lot of product artwork/boxes.

In summary, he has to do a fair amount of shooting products that he's doing designs for - usually for marketing purposes as well as using the pics to include in the artwork for boxes/packaging.

He's looking for a cheap setup that will give him a good background (plain white will be fine) to shoot against, as well as adequate lighting. He's shooting with a 450D and is just about to buy a RedSnapper tripod based on a recommendation from me after reading good things about them here.

Can you please give some advice/ideas re: what he would need to do this effectively without spending a fortune - I guess he's willing to spend up to £150-£200 if required, but would be happier spending less than £100 if he could.

I guess that a couple of constant lights in softboxes, probably mounted on stand with a roll of white background would be a starter for 10, however not sure what/where to advise he goes for this stuff.

Generally these tend to be fairly small items, so nothing huge needed.

Thanks

thanks Dave - I'll pass it on - could well do the trick

Anyone else got any opinions/recommendations in case he doesn't go for Dave's?
