Hi folks

Looking for a few ideas for a party next week.
Its a year 6 school leavers party and we have raised quite a sum of money for it over the last few months :)
We already have DJ, balloons, glow sticks and party food etc including free barbeque (there is a bar for adults) and also enough helium balloons for a balloon launch.
For the kids we have done a proper leavers year book, got wrist bands and personalised mugs for them all.

Problem is, we still have about £400 still to spend and we are kind of struggling on what to get now so I am looking for any ideas that you can come up with (bearing in mind its for 11 year olds)

Thanks

Julian

We threw a water fight party for our kids at that age.
All kids were supplied with water pistols and water bombs and told to bring a change of clothes :)

They loved it. A chance to go crazy without being told off!
Most of the adults were soaked too...

It was reckoned to be the best party of the year.

Thanks folks -
Thought about water stuff but lots of the kids are coming in prom type dresses and suits (at 11!)
Fireworks - thought about those too but general opinion was no - boo!
Photographer? not me - I did all the photos for the yearbook and produced it too - had enough of taking photos of kids for now :)

Any more ideas?

I wasn't saying you take the photographs @JulesP

Use the money to hire an event photographer and let the kids get there pictures taken with there mates etc.

Change into water warfare gear...

Chocolate fountain?

2 girls, 1... chocolate fountain!!!

A Magician? Simple card tricks and the like making things disappear?

No idea how much they are to hire, but lots of companies are doing 'casino parties' now - some geared specifically at children. I'd guess prices are 'by the hour' so you may be able to do something with that.

Or maybe some kind of entertainer for after the barbecue? I'm thinking something unusual like a fire eater or something along those lines.

Hire a photobooth?

Give the money to charity.

Yeah just been looking at photo booths. Fire eater sounds fun ;)
Mischievous dwarves sounds great but googled them and don't think that'll be appropriate ;)

I believe Freddie the flatulent hermit from Lindisfarne is available.

Why spend the £400 though? Sounds like you've got enough to be going on with already. Spend the money on a nice new lens instead.

I think the money raised for the event is to be wholly used for it.
Blagging a new lens might just be seen as a teensy weensy bit of skimming

Nice try master criminal

Agreed. Can't fail (for grown ups too!)
I wasn't even considering letting the kids on it.
Booze + bouncy castle = hilarity/embarrassment for offspring.

FTFY :-)

also add
+ photographer = blackmail material for next school fundraising

Plus paedophile charges in 30 years time.

Take them to McDonald's. ...safe as houses if you discount the remote possibility of listeria :-)

Photo booth is looking the most likely candidate so far.
Problem we have is there are 55 kids plus brothers and sisters, parents and teachers so looking at about 200 people there. Why I'm organising this I have no idea - hopefully this is the last time I do it though:)

Bowl, bicycle lock keys...

:D
