There's a new documentary series beginning on Sky Arts on 6 Nov at 10pm. While it's not specifically about film photography, it's likely to feature to some degree at least given the history of people making photographs of musicians.

Featuring passionate and often irreverent in-depth interviews, ICON is a six-part rollercoaster ride through the rich history and cultural impact of music photography.

Luckily Sky Arts is now on Freeview, so no need to hand over money to the Murdochs.
