Hi! Any ideas when is best to go to Lake Myvatn in Iceland to see the Northern Lights please? November or January is when I can go. Went in November to Tromsø and saw them but too rainy in Iceland when I went in early October! Any advice please?

When the sky is dark, clear, and there is aurora activity. Oh and maybe not too big a moon.
That's the best time to go. In other words, there is a lot of luck involved with regards to conditions.

Rain is always more than likely. Just go to Greece or Hawaii if you want to make the most of your money and time

I've just been there last week - far too many flies!! Did manage to see the lights though, albeit from a bit farther north.
