Iceland

Amazing place, definitely worth a visit i went for 2 weeks a while back before i got into photography and it was just bril. I'd love to go back. Expensive though whilst you are there.

I misunderstood the title, I was thinking macro king prawn rings for some reason.

Anyway, I'd do it if your into your landscapes or in fact even if your not. Is the volcano still drizzling lava?

Amazing country, I went before I was into photography but looking back it's a photographer's dream, landscape especially. As others have said, it is expensive there.

Personally I'm already looking forward to the results.

Marie + Iceland = winner :)

Very nice place to visit. The landscape is fantastic. It can rain alot though. And as already said very expensive. £6 for a pint if I remember. Great place though.

I'm with Ali on this one Marie - Your landscapes are stunning as they are, add Iceland into the mix and I can't wait to see the results!

Just checked out your pics on your site. If you do that sort of thing normally, your Iceland stuff will be well worth waiting for. Enjoy yourself.

I went there on a school trip when I was 15. Stunningly beautiful country. I've always wanted to go back and finally am next year :D

Once you have finished photographing make sure you visit the Blue Lagoon, lots of tours will visit on the way to the airport, amazing experience especially if it's snowing.

Seconded. The Blue Lagoon is amazing - nothing like being outside in a warm pool, sipping a cold beer surrounded by snow.

We went to Reykjavik a couple of years ago for a long weekend and loved the place. Cost aside, the whole place is lovely.

One of my life-lasting memories. Standing in a snowstorm, in my swimming trunks, on Xmas day.

A cracking place to visit Marie - you should come away with some excellent shots.

When i have been, ive mainly been in the North of Iceland, around Akureyri and Husavik, great for Whales :) love the place, every corner you go round the scenery seems to throw something new and amazing at you, its a stunning place, and the people are really friendly ! Just beware of the prices of things, but dont let that worry you so much, enjoy it :)

Thanks Ian.
This trip includes half board and all transport, so doubt I'll be buying much more than the odd drink/snack.

Did you take currency with you, or use cash points/cards?

Hi Marie, very cool re the half board side of it :) i didnt take currency with me, and the cash machines wouldnt let me take cash out, it was in the height of the financial issues though, used debit and credit cards for everything and it was fine, may pay to make sure your bank know you will be there, so they dont block your cards though !

Oh and fingers crossed you get to see the Aurora :) its amazing !!!! :)
