Ok maybe a bit OTT with the title, but after waiting weeks, ICS finally arrived as an update. It was great. I liked the style and the little extra doo da's.

But now my Galaxy S2 has developed an issue. I first noticed when trying to text it was freezing. It's happening a lot and makes texting a nightmare. It's not just the texting. It's everything locking up.

I think I need to revert back to whatever version was previous to ICS. Not sure how to do that though.

Have a read of the S2 forum on xda forums, others may have experienced the problem and found a solution.

When upgrading you need to totally re-set your phone to factory default via the dial pad (Including any micro sd cards)

Upgrade your phone

The you, and this is important, you need to do the first step of re-setting your phone again.

If you are really not liking your ICS update then you can easily re-flash your phone to the previous ROM

So i basically have to lose all my content just to be able to update my phone?

Following the steps I ouitlined in post #5?

I ask because your post #6 kind of suggests maybe you didn't

Yeah iv tried it twice and it works fine if i don't put the content back on but back to the fault if i do put the content back on. I think there is a message in my messages that is causing the error as iv used a messaging app and can access all messages apart from the one off the Mrs that i originally thought was the culprit. When i try and click the message in the messaging app it then freezes the app just like it would if i tried to access my messages normally.
