My friend had put on her own Facebook page, her baby daughter in a Icco pram. A month later looking at the Icco site see they are advertising a pram with photos of babies in them.
Having a closer look can see its her baby and that the photo had been taken from her Facebook page and now is being using as an advert for that particular pram.
I am asking for advice on her behalf what can be done about it?

Before contacting them get a screen shot.

Then work out what you want from them and if you'll allow them to continue using it at a cost. Even if they take it down if they've been using the image to generate an income then it's not unreasonable to demand a value for use up to this point

Thanks Neil, I have passed on the advice.

I wouldn't be surprised if they have rights to use the image as I suspect you give up all rights to any image posted on Facebook and then companies may pay Facebook to harvest what they want.

Maybe not but worth checking the small print.

No you do not. There are terms that suggest Facebook themselves may use images in their own adverts (you could opt out of this iirc) but this does not cover use by third parties. In fact Facebook themselves are pretty poop hot on taking action on reports of intellectual property misuse.
