No
I've just installed a new printer and the list of icc profiles in the 'Photoshop Manages Colors' dialogue is getting ridiculously long... there are around 150 of them now and I only need around half a dozen of them. I can't for the life of me work out how to delete the ones I don't need and googling hasn't helped a bit!

Anybody got any ideas so I'm not bald from pulling my hair out by Christmas?

The list below is only around half of them!!

EDIT: By the way... I'm on a Mac!

On windows
C:\Windows\System32\Spool\Drivers\Color\
or
c:\windows\SysWOW64\spool\drivers\color\
but better to remove them by using the Colour Management applet in the control panel ...

On cox pippins I think they go in Library/ColorSync/Profiles ... but been a long time since I used a mac ...

Yes... I probably should have said I'm on the fruity OS!!

Can't find them in any of the usual Library/Colorsync/Profile... or similar locations unfortunately... but thanks for trying! :)

In finder hold down the alt key and click the drop down list for folders. Now library should appear and they are in there.

Yeah the library was the first place I searched... but it's a pretty big place and I'll be damned if I can find them. There are some user added profiles in the most obvious location (Library>ColorSync>Profiles) but these aren't the ones I'm looking for. A spotlight search won't find them either so the Epson installers must give them tricksy names and hide them somewhere sneaky!

Keith, my trick is to search the name of one of the profiles and, if you
clicked "show path" in the Finder preferences window, when marking
that search results, the path will tell you where they all are!
Have a good time!

Thank you for the suggestion Kodiak... but sneaky Epson must have given the files tricksy names as searching for the profile names (or similar permutations) unfortunately doesn't find them.

Ah... I think I've found them! Library>Printers>Epson>InkjetPrinter2>ICCProfiles... sounds obvious but believe me it isn't!

The profiles seem to be in 'Microsoft Word Bundle' files which you can't open but you can 'Show Package Contents' to reveal the profiles tucked away inside (probably why Spotlight couldn't find them)...

Thing is, when you try to delete the files the system asks for your password which kind of suggests that something nasty may happen when you delete them! Anyone know if it's safe to delete them (after copying to a new location first of course)??

You can always reinstall them. If you don't want them just get rid of them :)
