thanks, charles is a lovely puppy. he is growing into a fine dog...

68 is lovely i really like the way the flower comes from out of the dark background, i think i know where the old car showroom is in Salisbury, do you go to any of the shops in the centre at all? i know a cracking shop for old photography gear. its in an antiques shop next door to cash converters

the rose is fantastic, lovely focus and great in B+W.. and what can I say about charley.. great shot.. its a hard life being a dog huh? ;)

thanks. its funny but i actually prefer the flowers in b&w. its all about texture, form, light and shade, colour doesnt add much for me.
i dont get much time in salisbury. i will try to check out the antiques shop next week though...

Great Shots, the greenhouse is my Fav and the SP is very good also!

Roo

thanks, the greenhouse is an abandoned, vandalised car showroom. now you have said that it does look, out of context, like a greenhouse...

yes mate, epson perfection 4490 photo to be precise. i have used it to copy some of my old negatives and positives as well as for a load of my dads old positives from the '50's and '60's. it is a good bit of kit at a budget price. not sure if i will set it up with the mac yet...
73 is a shot from last year, i was busy yesterday and i really like it as a photo so i cheated and i took the opportunity to get it into my set...

Yep, macs are brilliant :D
I always use Photoshop to edit my photos, but I have tested out iphoto once or twice. Never been on aperture though, I don't have it!

Nice detail in that drainpipe shot.

thanks. i have been playing with iphoto today, editing my stuff from this morning. thinking of trying aperture though...

looks like far too many gadgets on that taskbar on the mac.. great shot!

lovely portait of sara and liam.. the grainy feel is fab :)

thats cool, so straight from the negative to the scanner, do you need to do much PP?

they seem to need a bit of cleaning up due to dust, otherwise as much or as little as you want. contrast, exposure etc, as you see fit. the old '60's positives need a lot of fiddling with levels as the colour seems to deteriorate over the years...
