exactly... i dont see why the focus is not on the eyes, frustrating but i will remember to check next time...

thanks, yes i am. somedays i feel totally uninspired or i have an idea which actually doesnt quite pan out...but yes. i feel that i am learning/remembering a lot of things because i am looking at my pictures in a more critical way...

busy few days now, working in salisbury for 3 days and a funeral in london squeezed in as well...difficult to keep up with everyones stuff till the weekend :|

whenever i need to hang a picture i have to hunt high and low for picture hooks! i always end up buying a big bag of the things and i never see them again! i haven't a clue where they go, but i must have thousands somewhere...

14 I love this kind of shot, works well in mono.

i love both 17 and 18 very nice indeed. the walnuts are my fav though great focusing as well
 
thanks very much. i am very pleased with the walnut shot! the onions less so, but this is a learning excercise as much as anything...i know how i should have done the shot which is the main thing!
 
Nice shots! Well done....loving this learning experience....nearly a month in! Yay! ok well maybe just over half a month...but we are still here! :)

i saw this and at first it made me grin. its actually a bit sad, thinking of paul d doing the rounds of the village halls...£17.50 a ticket is a bit steep though!

todays shot is nice mate i like the grain in the back ground did you add that through PP?

i didn't add it as such. in photoshop i converted to b&w. i increased the contrast and as he is so black i can then increase the brightness to improve the detail of his face. this burns out the light background...it seems to give a nice grainy effect as well. thanks...

lol i thought the same as you. but im running out of wall space so i have been toying with the idea of a photobook, just depends how much it will cost

quick shot standing on a wall using the coolpix on full optical and digital zoom and high iso so its a bit rough...i like the feel of it though :)
