Yes
:) :D May I take this opportunity to once again thank Ian for his services. Quick (as he can be), reliable (as he can be) and B****y good value IMHO (as he can be).
Despite the occasional glitch he has raised the bar IMO for other traders to follow. Thanks Ian for my new 'point & shoot' and the £1,350 in saved costs.

:canon:

I know I didn't... :) I am now in the 70-200 2.8 VR club.. now where's that thread gone :)

scuse my ignorance but who is 'Ian Kerr'?

He runs an ebay store selling camera gear for seriously good prices. But if you deal direct, by pm'ing him through the forum (user name kerso) or emailing him kerso1123@msn.com he'll usually do you an even better deal :D

His prices and service are legendry round these parts ;)

Ah all becomes clear, I've looked at his e-bay site before, just didn't put 'Kerso' and 'Ian Kerr' together, doh.

Since I received my goods today also (eos350D) and not make a new thread about it I would also just like to personally thank Ian for an unbeatable service on every level.
I look forward to shop with him again soon and hope that my fellow friends choose to do so also.

Johnny

Ian is a lovely chap despite being a jock (only kidding!!!) In todays world he is a pure Gent - he cannot do enough for you - for the people who know a good deal when they see it.. he will do the best he can and for those who choose to be difficult or funny then well....

He has his faults like all of us BUT he does the camera thing as a second line of business BUT he is thinking of doing it full time now so things like his communications will improve BUT at the end of the day... you get a great deal from him for not a lot of effort!!! And remember he has a life away from his PC and a family too - so put the shoe on the other foot for a moment and think would you sit in front of your P 24/7 and your family like it????

I used to sell Canon kit on here - and believe me when you get as many e-mails and PM's as I did you cannot find enough time to deal with people - either the serious ones or the ones who just like to p**s you about!!!

I cannot recommend my friend enough, he is a lovely guy and so is his family :) He would never rip you off or miss treat you intentionally - his ethos is "to treat a person, like he would like to be treated himself" - this is something which I hope most people can relate too - so for those who have given him a hard time lately regarding his comms etc... just think first before you type!!! Would you walk into Jessops or Park Cameras or a similar shop and lay into them like some of you have on here - I think not!

Keep up the good work Ian :) And enjoy yourself on the 4th!!!

I have just purchased a L Series 28mm-2oom lens & 24mm-70mm lens from Ian and was very impressed by the product, delivery and of course the significant cost savings, I for sure will be using him again (when I can justfy to the wife why I need a 300mm f2.8 L Series lens, any suggestions on how to swing this very welcome)....

Hi, Anyone trying to get me please note I am away until Wednesday July 4th. Regards Ian.

Come on guys... keep it civil please. :suspect:

Can you please explain your comment before I quote you for lens? I can't decide whether this is meant to be funny or offending? Be honest. Regards Ian.

On a customer relations course?

The original comment was intended as a joke.

It was made after you decided to chastise Shorn for an innocent comment. I would like to think you took this out of context.

If you decide not to quote for the lens, then that is your prerogative.

in all fairness to Ian I wouldn't have taken that as a joke.

The internet is a weird place where quick wit is not always understood, and it's easy to mis-read things, the use of a wee smiley makes it all the better.

On a customer relations course? etc would not have been taken the wrong way, to lease the comment un smiley'd kinda left it open to interpretation :)

I'm sure some PM interaction will clear up this daft misunderstanding. ;)

Did you fully read the reply from Shorn and the previous post?

Not sure how to multi-quote so here it is again ....

Richard1234 I for sure will be using him again (when I can justfy to the wife why I need a 300mm f2.8 L Series lens, any suggestions on how to swing this very welcome)....

If anyone else can tell me how this is offensive then please tell me and I will remove any remarks I may have made.

That Ian was referring to?

Hi No offence taken, perhaps a customer relations course would be good. Sorry the lens I have is Nikon fit, try Warehouse or Jessops I think they have it. Regards Ian.

No problem Ian.

Ifotou may have had a point about my missing smiley though.

Have decided to go with DigitalRev on Ebay. Ordered from them before and got it for £532 delivered.

Just read this again, I didn't realise Ian was having a pop at me :(
anyway all must be ok now cause I recieved my lens today :)
Ian, my earlier post was taken by the person I was responding to, just as I meant it, as a joke.
Pleased to do business with you again.

I wasn't having a pop at you at all? Hypnotic is confused totally! If he looks at the post he was referring to I was replying to Scoff. He seems to think I was replying to you. I didn't think that decoding the threads was that difficult. I think that Hypnotic wrote about a customers relation course for me, thinking that I had bad mouthed you when in fact you didn't do anything. Regards Ian.

Ian ... You firstly replied to Shorn (quoting him) and in the next post you replied to scoff. Both using almost the same comment.

I don't think that it is me being confused here!

Well said, there would have been no mix up if people would learn to read the threads properly. This is so time consuming. Please close this down if it goes any further if possible. Regards Ian.
