Morning all,

This Friday and Saturday I am going to the Silverstone Classic (i have my tickets already) and I want to take better shots of the cars on the club stands - more dynamic. Usually, I just see a car I like, take a photo of it and move on without thinking too much about the composition. So when I get home from an event and look at my photos on the computer, I sometimes feel let down and disheartened. I want to change this.

Here are a some photos that I have taken in the past and you can see what I mean….

These top three are from last years Classic

(P.S.) please feel free to look at my flickr and or photobucket site for more examples.

I know these photos are not bad/terrible, but I know they can be improved so, with that in mind:

Q1) What can I do to improve these types of shots of static cars on a club stand?
Q2) Do I need to take the whole car, if that is not the case, what part might I choose (what to look for)?
Q3) level of shot - standing or kneeling or lying on the ground. bare in mind i'm 6ft 4.

Anything else the TP community can suggest that I can do to improve these. Please go easy on me.

Darren
