Hello,

I've got a "snap" from my holiday last year which I would like to get printed. It was taken with a little point a shoot and needs a little processing. I've gave it a couple of attempts, but haven't came up with anything I'd be happy with on my wall. Would someone mind giving it a try for me?

hard to do as seems like it has a film over it...

best I could get anyways, few mins play, but I would re-crop as well but keep the lil mountain in the bg in. and PP the quad on the right out.

Are you going to use somebody else's PP work for print without some sort of remuneration?

Dosen't have to be money but just surely a 'thanks a lot', is not enough.

You should be asking how the PP was done so you can do it yourself and then print it. I don't mind sharing any tips/knowledge but if I have worked for say 20 - 30 mins on an image, I expect something in return.

Hope you get what you want.
 
Surely participation was optional?
If you wanted more than a thanks maybe you should have sent the OP a PM?

But the OP does not state he is going to use somebody else's PP work either, just asks if you can try and process it to be a better shot. I could have simply replied 'yes, I have tried it and it is fantastic', where does that leave the OP.

Ask about how it is done and do it yourself, you will feel much better for it.

This is my last post in the thread.

Sure, I agree and rather than linking to a higher res' printable version 'freebie' (I know you didn't Tom) it might have just been best to have listed the step-by-step pp/editing workflow with the small 'sample' version?

Here are my adjustments, performed in Lightroom 3.2 Beta. Work your way through the history list from the bottom up. I used the local adjustment brush to add some clarity in selected areas and then to paint a "tan" colour over some of the flesh areas to warm the guys up.

I'm not sure what accounts for the original IQ. It looks like the lens was smeared with something quite horrid - grease/fingerprints or salt water residue, or that you had the camera in an underwater housing or something similar. It's not often you see anything that bad from anything except a camera phone.
 
He asked if anyone minded giving it a go. If you minded than i guess you should have left it alone. A simple thanks is good enough for me...

I fully appreciate your time taking to process my image, but I had not intended to offer any "payment" for doing this, I was simply hoping someone would be nice enough to attempt it for me.

All I want is a memory from my holiday to go on my bedroom wall.

Appreciate this, thank you :clap: I don't know why the picture turned out so "murky". It was taking using a P&S on self timer, but usually produces results a lot better than that!
