How come every ****er has got either a new body or a new ****ing lens for xmas and all I got was a ****ing book with picture and no words! (what the ****ing is the point of a book without ****ing words?), a man bag (someone is really taking the ****ing ****) and more ****ing socks!

Oh and a bottle of JD and SO that I am drinking rather ****ing quickly!
Now that's what I call xmas spirit :D
 
aww poor you, if its any consolation i got no new gear either. but i am waiting for the sales to start lol.

I didn't get any camera stuff either....though I have just managed a couple of bargains...and for the past 2 birthdays, my mum said she'd get me a camera...and I put it on hold so as to get interest :lol: .....keep doing this and in 5 yrs I'll have a D3s and 500 f4! :D :lol:

I got 2 Top Gear t-shirts, a Top Gear mug & the Top Gear 2010 annual. Spot a trend? (all from the missus).

I got some camera kit! A new lens cloth :D Result!

Also, a few hundred quid combined to put towards a new lens I have in mind :D Though, I am selling a lot of stuff to help fund it!
 
Despite everyone asking me what i wanted for christmas i didn't get anything that was on my list apart from a memory pen!!!
My mum even sunk as low as buying socks :thumbsdown:

On the upside, the roast was amazing and so was desert and to top it all off the grandparents fell asleep giving me a nice quite afternoon.

Yeah, I've been keeping an eye out for a D2xs recently (I've seen a couple for sale, but for a bit more than I'm willing to spend). It's gonna cost me about £250 for an EN-EL4a battery + charger anyway for the MB-D10, so might as well pick up a used D2xs, get a battery + charger with that and have a backup body that's better than my D200 (as I have technically given the D200 to the wife anyway ;)).

no camera gear for me either,but thats not a bad thing as i don't think my missus would know where to start,plus she says i always get whatever i want anyway :naughty:...

so...

a pair of homer simpson slippers and a casio G shock watch,although i did get to buy lots of booze in with the christmas shop,but refraining from drinking tonight after yesterdays jaunt :gag:plus i'm off to shoot the local annual boxing day hunt,so need to stay pretty sober for that :lol:

Nope, no camera gear here either, though did get an iMac a few weeks ago which was xmas pressie and sort of photography related. Also had lots of JD...mainly last night...too much tbh, had my first hangover in years this morning :gag:

So, I have taken the cowards way out and spent christmas lunch and this evening slowly drinking some very nice champagne....very slowly :lol:
 
Lol, I've never had so many replies to a thread and it had to happen in OOF!
I'm pleased I am not the only one who got socks.
My plan in 2010 is to not stop talking about the pending release of the 8D and perhaps my family will get the hint ;)
I've decided that I will stop drinking when I go to bed.
As we are flying tomorrow, there is no point leaving a bottle unfinished :)
I fell asleep watching dr. who (thank god for sky +) so I will catch up with it before bed.
No doubt I will be nursing a servere hangover in the morning and I wont remember any of this!

I fancied a new body ( tall leggy with big boobs) but the Mrs found out
Now I am sleeping on the sofa :(

I am so please we have the swear filter and I am really sorry if anyone was offended by my opening post.
I will make a mental note to myself to make sure I keep away from the forum in the future when I am under control from alcohol.

Darran ,she was on here asking where to get a VERY good fisher-price lens for the other half, we told her to get a f##king book with no words,as with such a good camera you would not have time to read.:D:D:D:D

I hinted about a 7D but it went on deaf ears :(

I've been told that if my daughter loses/damages my spare 30D at a New Years party I can replace it with a 7D.............




It's a strange feeling wanting your kids to damage your camera gear :thinking::shrug:
