so after reading last months Digital SLR photography magazine i decided to enter a competition i found in there.

the competition was "your best high speed photo" so I enterd one of my water drop shots and i won :):):):)

this is the first time iv enterd anything into a magazine competition and it just goes to show that you dont know untill you try

excellent, well done.. and what fab shot too!.. don't have the patience to try this myself..

feels good doesn't it.. I won the practical photography DSLR skills course at the end of last year, still cant believe it!

No, I sent an email off a week ago (as I hadn't seen the facebook announcement, and they spelt my name wrong in the mag:lol:), but I received an email on tues saying the prizes had been shipped...So I'm expecting it tomorrow.

I sent them an email on Monday as mine hadn't shown up. I got a reply saying they would look straight into it. Still not here. Did you get an email even saying that you had won? Hope it arrives soon :-(

I won the Autumn Mission Challenge and still have not received my prize despite contacting Digital Camera and them saying they would get it sorted.

No I do all my drops manually.

I asked Santa for a drop kit but he didn't supply my with one :-(

I used a baking tray, air line tube and valve from a fish tank and my sons bubble bottle.

I positioned the bubble by blowing it with a straw across the base liquid surface

Goes to show with abit of practice you don't need to spend out on a trigger set up :-)

Two people in this thread entered and won competitions in the same magazine and neither of you yet received your prize? Very dodgy sounding set up isnt it.
