He's 71 and a veteran 35mm SLR man
He used to develop his own films and slides in his spare bedroom/darkroom
He hasn't yet made the switch to DSLRs, using as he does a Fujifilm bridge camera. But having 'played with' my Sony a200, I think he may become a convert
So what's my point? It's this: Getting great pics has never been easier. Multiple ISO choices, no film wasteage, immediate results, auto setting for muppets like me, flash which lasts more than one shot, etc. etc.
We don't know how lucky we are!
