... with my cousins and siblings, it was great fun. My cousin was so freaked out she kept grabbing me and screaming her head off. I don't get scared of horrors. Recommend me something that will crap me up :)

lol, 'traditional photography experiments and techniques', not 'cinema' :p

Easy mistake to make!

Try Irreversible by Gaspar Noe. It's a french film.
That will haunt you.

Don't read about it, just find it and watch it.

I didn't get that? :(

Haha the topic was posted in the 'Film and Conventional' forum, where the topics for discussion are traditional photography experiments and techniques, not cinema, which I'm assuming you got confused by :p

So yeah, Irreversible. Watch it.
It's an extremely powerful piece of cinema, with superb acting.

Oh my gosh, i'm so silly, I hope this gets moved or i'll just look like a dumb ass lol!

Ok thanks, i'll check up on the trailer!

great movie - strange ending

I watched Saw V the other night - still as gruesome as ever but not scary

Tell us what you have seen and we can make recommendations then

Word of warning, I felt physically sick, kept wretching, got hot, flustered, sweaty and cried during the film.
Wonder how well you'll cope :)

I don't like saw V those things confuse me :/

I like Sci Fi and Paranormal usually. I've seen:

End of Days
The Excorcist
What lies beneath
All the SAWS (hated them)
The Grudge 1 & 2
The Cave
and loads more but I can't remember at the moment lol!

There aren't many really decent scary films anymore. They all rely too much on cheap scares and gore.

I miss the days of the experimental horror, such as the Blair Witch Project.
I thought that was terrifying, and so so effective. A lot of people moaned because you never saw the 'Witch', and that it wasn't actually a true story.

I think they drove straight on past the point.

The Hostel ones are okay

The Orphanage is good

Creep is good

It's difficult to find a really good scary movie !

I don't think that will happen with me, i watch horror films alone at 3am and nothing happens

You're so right.

I watched cloverfield the other day, i didn't like it... Why the fake homevideo sort of thing? And the camera was so shakey it was annoying as hell!

I guess you're one of those people who drove straight past the point haha.
They're capturing it from the point of view of the main characters (who, also, aren't stars so as to involve the audience and make it more believable). That was the point.

I am almost certain that you will react ten times worse than I did, and it will affect you a lot more. It's not a horror film, but you said you wanted a film that would affect you :p

The ones of recent i quite liked but cant say they will scare the pants off ya are:

The Mist
The Cottage
The Ruin
The Descent

Saw V was the biggest pile of cr*p i've seen in a long time.

Personally i more prefer Sci-Fi films

REC not the Hollywood remake but the original spanish film, nice & scary.

:agree: I usually find subtitles too off putting but in this instance it fits in really well and makes the movie more chilling than its overly american counterparts

Does that mean subtitles ?

As Rubber Duck says it is subtitled but if its a good film I forget I am reading subtitles and this is a good film.

Get Dead Space for the Xbox 360. You'll **** bricks for a few days.

we thought 'the strangers' was dire, didnt really have a story at all, had no proper start or end and the bit in the middle was a bit duff as well, just a few jumpy moments that were highly predictable

Totally Agree. This film is simply awesome and well worth a watch.

Just received it this morning from sofa cinema looking forward to being scared s******* this weekend

The Descent

Now that film was scary.

I'm not a massive fan of "scary" horror, i prefer the gore of slasher style films. Things like:

2001 Maniacs
Nightmare on Elm Street (All of them)
The Hills have Eyes 1&2
28 Days Later
28 Weeks Later
Predator
Hostel 1&2
Saw 1-3 (Have 4, not watched it yet as my misses is freaked by them. Havent seen 5 either)

And lots of things with Zombies in it!
