I was wondering if any wedding photographers would critique my 2nd wedding?

Hiya,

I know it wasn't perfect and I still have a long way to go but wondered if any Wtogs would cast their eye over my last wedding and give me their opinion? I see a lot of flaws in them myself but the more negative feedback I receive the way I see it the faster I can improve...

I really want to get into wedding photography professionally but I know my chances of getting to work under someone are to slim considering my time schedule as well, so have just been doing all research I can via youtube videos/books & creative live courses and taking on the low paid wedding photography jobs to gain experience.

I'm currently uploading it to Smugmug so hopefully I'll have a link *soon*, my dropbox couldn't take the whole wedding.

I don't really want to post the link for everyone to see, so if a few people wouldn't mind I would really appreciate it.. :-)

You are much more likely to get CONSTRUCTIVE feedback (NB we don't do negative feedback here), if you post a selection of images here. Lots of us will not click on a link to go elsewhere.

Your choice :)

Yes, pick your best half dozen shots that represent different areas of the shoot and post them in the people and portraits section. Be sure to select the dropdown for critique.

Ok guys thanks may do that, I think I got a couple really good shots but I'm trying to improve my Wphotography overall, think it's going to take more then a few hours since it's only done 23/250 odd so far... -.-

I don't understand. If you want constructive critique, it's simple - put your chosen few pictures up (most wedding snappers seem to do so on the "Photos - people and portraits" sub-forum), and put up a link to a blog or gallery or something so we can see the rest.

If I understand you correctly to say that you're still processing, wait until you've finished. Then it's up to you. We can critique a few pictures in isolation, but personally I don't see the point. Far more useful IMO to see the full works, but obviously it's entirely up to you.

As mentioned, stick a collection of your best shots in the people photos forum and you will receive feedback, the vast majority of which should be helpful.

I may be wrong, but I think the equipment you use would limit the shots you would be able to take.

Stick your best ones on Flickr and link the BB code here. Won't take 10 minutes :)

I'm sure they will Cally.
As has been said, post a selection (Not just the ones you're pleased with but the ones where you need help too) in the people and portraits feedback section and include a link to the full set so people can see your work as a whole.

Unfortunately, posting links privately to a select few members isn't really how it works.
The whole purpose of the forum is for us to share and discuss photos publicly where everyone can see and learn.

We can't restrict who does / doesn't provide feedback on your thread, but if you're clear in your OP about what you want out of the critique and that you're particularly interested in feedback from wedding photographers, I'm sure that the membership will be accommodating.
Don't be too dismissive of opinions from others though, there are some non-wedding-photographers here too who are more than capable of giving you valuable feedback on your images ;)

Thank you, no they are already processed and delivered to the couple, but I was uploading them to smugmug so I would have them on line for the two reasons that 1 'clients' may ask to see a full wedding and 2 feedback.

Kendo I don't know if you have looked at some previous posts to see my equipment but I have since upgraded, the only main thing I am really missing is a wide angle lens but the one I want is 1.3k so given I am basically doing weddings free or next to nothing I am not to concerned with this for the time being.

Will post some up shortly in right section when I get chance, have another wedding to edit and shoot to plan for but I appreciate the help and shall be back when I can!

Fair enough!
I was a bit concerned seeing what you had stated your camera and lens were.
