I was nearly given a bundle of cash

This morning I decided to visit Armathwaite Hall at the end of Bass Lake, nr cockermouth, Cumbria to take some photographs. As is my way, I got out the gear and slung camera bag and camera round neck, picked up the tripod and headed for the reception to get permission to roam the grounds and shoot.

Anyway, it was obvious there was also a wedding on as there where three guys out at the front of the hall dressed in morning suits and as I approached one spotted me and said.."Ah the photographer" and plunged his hand inside his jacket to retrieve a wad of cash to flash under my nose...I think I was about to be given the balance of what was owed to another 'tog...luckily for him I'm honest..

Did you get permission to shoot in the end? I would hope so after you'd demonstrated your honesty.
