"I was like ..."

at the end of the day when its all said and done and the chips are down..... f*** it all

"Obviously" is my all time favorite. Whenever someone says it out of context I always ask them "why is that obvious?" they always look dumbfounded, without fail, 110% of the time.

litterally being another one

and lets not start on ironic...

So, you're a happy bunch. LOL - Language evolves. Evolution is inevitable. end of!

Evolution isn't the same as destruction.
Idleness in kids language is a parenting failure.

Care to elaborate?

Sure.
Who is responsible for teaching their kids the basics of language....and of continually correcting them when they get it wrong?

I may not like my brother in law and his wife, and I sure as hell don't like their kids, but I'll give them one thing, they've done a hell of a job making sure they can speak decent English. :-)

So you're saying any child that uses words that are in this thread,
So..
Like..
Etc..then thats parental failure?

Used constantly, in an "every fifth word" sort of way, I'm saying they could have done a better job, yes.

Pmsl... You've gotta love shaggy :D

Perhaps elaborating that you mean to the extreme would be an idea, although I still disagree, kids will be kids, they have phases of all kinds of phrases etc...doesn't make the parents a failure in the slightest

Fair enough.
Happy to agree to disagree :-)

"Obviously" and "Of Course" often cause annoyance. But people feel compelled to use them to help clarify the sentence. But it sometimes has the wrong effect.
