Hey all,

Help! pleeeze....

I want to display and sell my wedding photos online - have looked around but can't seem to find anything that fits the bill / can be trusted...

These are my requirements (some I guess aren't as important as others...)

- UK based preferably
- Completely sequre shopping for customers (if they accept paypal too that's a bonus!)
- Need space for at least 300 photos per album
- I don't want a printing service, only the actual order, and I get it printed myself.
- Each album to have a name and password so that each wedding gets its own page, that only they can log into.
- Pay per album, NOT per year, or a cut of the sales!
- Easy for customers to use

I have found one that seems to be ok, www.picproofs.co.uk but can't find any reviews etc about them, and since the customers would have to give out their card details, I want to make sure it's nothing dodgy!!

If any of you are using someone at the moment, and they are good, please let me know who you are using!

Many, many, many thanks! xx

Try http://www.clikpic.com
They should meet your needs. Support is pretty limited but the templates are easy to use. There are better web template designers around but if you're just starting out they are a relatively cheap option if you don't want to do all your own design and coding.

HI

Have a look at Jalbum

Its free

It works with paypal

It will cost you about £20 per annum to register your domain name / hosting

And you can also try a (free) Gallery2 set up with or without Zencart / checkout, providing you have reasonably good hosting

Thank you for your help so far - forgot to say that I already have a website, all I need is somewhere to have password protected albums where the clients can log in and order x amounts of prints... I'll go through the stuff that you've sent in so far and see if it fits!

Cheers

I use Jalbum and a "blind" link for the album that only the client knows, it's simpler that mucking about with passwords, htaccess, etc.

Just create the album, upload it to a folder with a random name or something based on their name, wedding date, etc. and give them the URL.

There's probably 10,000 images on my website that are "hidden" in this way.

lots of self-hosting options available including photo cart, photostore, eos templates etc., One off payment, you host everything on your website and self-fulfill.

Which company are you talking about? Cheers!

Can't see anything about paypal on this one? Can't see any features that allow viewers of the albums to place orders?

Depends which skin you use with Jalbum, some of those included with the app provide paypal and you can download more. I hacked one of the included skins so it matches my website layout, take a look and you'll see the paypal ordering in action
