Yes
just had a 600d delivered fancy a 7d now
I can pick up new for around 995 from reputable suppliers
what do they fetch as mint used

£995 sounds like a storming price - which 'reputable' suppliers would these be out of interest?

They tend to go for around £900 in mint used condition I think.

I'll rephrase it 995 from where I purchased my 600d last week which will probably be a US model

Guessing HDEW at that price, can see this is going to be a costly hobby for you, give the 600D a go and get some nice lenses before upgrading so soon

well I got two camera bags in the beginning and told myself, once that they are filled with kit.....I'll be happy and never need to buy anything additional...well both are bursting and my wishlist is as long as ever

So why did you get the 600D then

at that moment in time I couldn't justify the £500 difference in price
and I really fancied the flippy out wibbly woobly twisty screen:lol:
now with all this talk of 5dmk11's and 7d's on this site I have got excited

the 17-55 f2.8 is an impressive lens
the size is the most impressive part
the price was not so impressive
what was more impressive was the quality of pics from the mucho cheapo 55-250IS

All the best gear in the world wont make you take better images, its the photographers eye that makes the pic

correct and I agree with you Dave, but I think this could be a windup :)

:lol::lol::lol:
i recon the winning bidder gets an empty box
none of my questions have been answered either
best be skipping this one
did you spot this bit "Urgent sale! I am solely able to accept payment via uk bank configured means."

I reckon you'll find the camera's there but its either snide or hot - either way id deffo give it a swerve

re your desire to upgrade so soon i can sympathise - gearaholism is a difficult habit to break - though i find being constantly broke helps ;)

I believe they have European agents and dispatch from there. Not used them at all, but reputation seems to be good (have a search on here) and they do have an account here too (err... see above!). Gotta love DigitalRev for bringing us Kai too :) ;) (if you don't know who Kai is, take a look here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=D_zGXERMRQU)

So how come you an suddenly afford the 7d now (if you've only just bought the 600d as you couldn't afford the extra £500)???

I mean, who actually does this?!

it wasn't a case of affording I never said that it was a case of justifying that much money on a camera on a whim

I can get you a new one with warranty for 915 pal uk model

There's no such thing as a "uk PAL" model, all units are the same, with selectable PAL/NTSC output in the menus, as with all DSLRs.

A unit from the US will be identical to the units for sale in the UK shops, it's the warranty that will be different!

The 7d is a great camera, but what is it about it that you need from it over and above what your brand new 600d can offer?

Be very careful with gear lust, it's easy to spend money you don't need to! You already have a great camera and some very good lenses. Why not use those and find their limits before you decide what to do?

haha. after u posting on like the 100th thread about the 7d u finally caved in :)

For me im in a crossroad between waiing for a 5dmk3 or just geting a 7d.

i currently have a 400d and if anyone was to ask me what is limiting me in the 400d i would say it would be the ISO quality and AF. AF being the MAIN one as the AF in the 400d is a bit of a hit and miss when using the centre point. You can forget about using all points as half the shots need to be binned. even on static objects as most of the time it will focus on the wrong thing.

U see im beginning to enjoy street photography and in sreet photography u dont have all the time in the world to manually focus on a scene. i believe that the 7d suits my need really well but the ISO and IQ is the same as my 400d as it is still a cropped body.

Now if the 5dmk2 HAD 7d's AF, i would be all over that like a kid with a candy. This is why i am waiing for the 5dmk3 to come out, see what features it has and what price point and either buy that or a 7d.

Im a hobbiest and my main job as a Computer programmer funds this :)
