i just put on the news and seen trump without even noticing his hair for the distraction of his bright orange face
Camouflage genius, although he does look a bit like a demented umpalumpa :D

a umpalumpa that might soon have control of the worlds largest and most advanced armoury in the world .one that also has a strange but probably truthful way of looking at the world stage ,and one that i feel if elected will be the next u.s president on the assination list .the question is should we look up to him or condone him ,the free world we like to live in needs a strong america and also a strong russia .without the yanks a lot of us wouldn't be here ,without the russians ww2 would probably still be raging .
personally i see trump as a good counterbalance to putin .obama is to inward looking and that puts the rest of the world in danger ,clinton is a lying bimbo that i wouldn't trust any more than corbyn .

I think there are a few explanations for Trump.

1. He's not real, he's an invention, a Sacha Baron Cohen or someone else's character.
2. He's joking and one day he'll say "Ah Ha! Gottacha!"
3. I'm in a coma, this is all in my mind and one day I'll wake up.

There's also the appalling possibility that he's serious and all this is real and in that case I think I'll put myself into a coma until the aliens decide that enough is enough and invade and put an end to all this.

From what I recall Corbin started out as a joke the rest as they say is history, Trump didn't become a billionaire through being an idiot, like him or loath him he has made some valid points in the wake of what's happened in Cologne, and what is continuing to happen throughout Europe which is being mainly covered up by mainstream press and media, so much so his following isn't to be sniggered at, it will be interesting to see what develops when he comes to the UK.

If you think spreading hate and fear, bullying his detractors and anyone who's not white Christian straight healthy and male is 'valid' I'm afraid we're not just on a different page, we're living in a parallel universe.

Seeing the way this campaign is turning is like watching the rise of the 3rd reich, and I wish I was exaggerating.

It was more the manic nature of the General than the super computer. The idea that the air in Texas was better air than anywhere else and the weakest link was not the computer but the man himself, believing the voices in his head and whatever tripe he spouted. The Karl Malden character just fed what the man wanted to hear and cashed in.

It was the naievety of it that resonates... and the willingness of sheep to believe.

No Phil I don't think that in the least, however I said he made some valid points, as some far right people do, that doesn't mean I agree with everything they say, i.e. it makes perfect sense to have essential background checks on people coming into your country, particularly in the wake of what has happened in Germany over Xmas, and what continues to be happening over Europe, anyone who thinks it's ok to let murderers, rapists, paedophiles and the like into any civilised country has something seriously wrong with them.

The bottom line is that the only reason people like Trump exist in politics and get so much support is that we have weak leaders ruling, Obama, Merkel, Cameron, and the prat Known as Blair before him, thinking they can do what they like to the people without consequences, of course now the backlash is escalating, which inevitably turns things to extremes, the mainstream politicians mentioned above are only now starting to take notice, or are they ? time may tell.
