Hi,

I ultimately want a Canon 7D but they are in short supply at the moment and the prices are ridiculous for both new and S/H, however comparing the 60D to the 50D that I used to own would I be happy just opting for the 60D just now and wait until the 7D becomes more readily available or.......

Will I just wait for a 7D to come along and cut out the purchase of the 60D all together?

Opinions bearing in mind that I haven't owned a DSLR since last August, don't ask :shake:

And no I won't be going over to Nikon

I sold my 50D in December and waited until April to buy a 7D......


It was worth the wait

IMO 50D is fine, better spending money on the glass. Depends what you shoot I guess, low light/sports etc.

If I was you I'd buy a used 40/50D for now and wait for the 7D's to come back in stock. Might be worth giving Kerso an email to check to see if he has any 7D's in stock.

If you really want a 7D then don't buy anything else. You'll always be wanting the 7D, and you'll lose money when you trade up against the camera you want.
