I-tunes help.........

Ok me and Mrs Smith both have iPhones...........

can sync music to our hearts content and ITunes recognises our pohones and our tastes etc etc....

However when it comes to apps........ I have shedloads, and Mrs S has 3....... I plug my iPhone in and it automatically thinks I want Solitaire....... (I don't)

Plug her iPhone in and go to the apps tab and iTunes crashes.......... tired it 5 times, rebooted etc etc.........

any ideas?

Hi, this may sound a bit basic but have you restarted your problematic iphone and also the mac/pc.

Also you should back up your iphone, this is a must if your having problems.

good point - will do both.. and the amount of times I have had a subcontinental call centre helper tell me to switch it off and switch it on.....what, why didn't i think of that.......

Funny you mention Itunes, I just dumped it tonight. Was preparing a shedload of songs as I have a ten day stay in hospital coming up next week. Thought I'd get the rarely used Ipod out and simply load them on.

Itunes is not a bloody easy program to master, Easier building a website via notepad.

I found it screwed up my music folder, after ages sorting it I uninstalled tunes, dumped the Ipod and load all my songs manually onto my phone. Less hassle and stress. Grandson has a Ipod coming his way now

well rebooted both the pc and Mrs S's phone......... opened up itunes, plugged in her phone and cannot do anything with apps - just crashes......

plug my phone in....... all works fine.........

Do you share one iTunes account for buying apps with?

yes

unless i download a couple from the phone itself.........


but 1 account - music is easily transferrable, and itues is happy with that ,,, from all sources.........

as soon as i click the apps tab with her phone in, it dies, with my phone in is happy...:shrug::shrug::shrug::shrug:
