Bl**dy I Tunes is driving me mad at the mo, can anybody please tell me why the latest lot of albums I have put in itunes are displayed and played in alphabetical order, even when the albums already on there are displayed and play in number order as they should.

Can't help with your problem, but I can ease your pain.

Your not the only one iTunes hates.......it refuses point black to ever find newly added tracks and I have to resort to deleting the itunes library folder and letting itunes import the music from my music as a whole. then it re syncs the ipod. upshot is, 40 mins later, i've added 10 tracks :(

Useless piece of over important software :(

i have this issue too.

one word

ghey

Never had a problem.........

You're allowing iTunes to manage your library, right?

Just use Windows Media Player instead! It's not without fault but it's a hundred times better than itunes IMO. As much as I think Apple have it spot on with most of their software I detest itunes with a vengance! It just never does what I want it to do whereas Media Player never lets me down - and I can network it through my Xbox 360 too!

Wish i could use media player ! Much prefer it, unfortunately Apple decided to make it impossible to use anything else to manage the IPOD !

My problem is 16 of the tracks import and show in itunes, the other 2 dont, no matter what i try they just wont be listed !

are the 2 obstinate tracks in an itunes compatible format Ian? I know it's an obvious question but worth checking

how about ripping them again but in a different format? ie M4a rather than MP3 or vice versa? Or even rip them as WAV's then convert them to MP3's

Yeah it's this sort of thing that made me give up on itunes ages ago. I don't have an Ipod though so not an issue for me. There is 3rd party software out there that will make media player work with an ipod. No idea if it's any good though

Try EphPod if iTunes is bugging you. Not free, but worth the small amount of money from what I've heard.

Edit: Seems it is free, but not been updated for a while. There's a list of various different managers on this wikipedia link

Hope this is of use!

Is there a way for itunes to "watch a folder" and automatically add music the itunes as you add tracks to this folder?

Im having to select and drag things in manually too.
