No
must be a ( missing ) enigma

With all due respect to all the participants of that thread, I wasn't entirely comfortable sitting here watching people (strangers, to be honest) attempt to piece together my entire life through the internet. I'm sure there are those who will do that regardless, but laid out in such a format was a little bit unnerving.

Apologies if this sounds a bit kill-joyish because I did enjoy the basis of the thread, but a lack of details on my name/location/hobbies/cameras isn't going to make my responses any less useful in the fora. It was all done in good faith and I am not suggesting for one second that there was any nastiness (because there wasn't!), but I have kept my details off most fora on purpose.

Anyway - on that latter list, I always can and will want to talk about cameras. I only had that AE-1 Program for a little bit; that camera handled well and it was in wonderful condition with no Canon squeal, but shutter speed priority is certainly a Canon thing and not my thing I'm afraid (and I don't use program mode). I certainly see why they sold so many of them.

I have a couple of Nikon film bodies, a couple of Pentax film bodies and Nikon digital. Big on TLRs, my preferred method of shooting film.

my complete and unreserved apologies freecom2 ,it was not intended to be nasty in any way ,,but it was asked as a genuine enquiry ,as your input has always been brilliant ,just a shame we dont know anything about you , ( a name would be nice though ) oh and an appearance at the London film meet :D

Probably should have seen that one coming, eh? My apologies Freecom.

Indeed, not intended or perceived to be nasty in any way - just not necessarily something that was the best discussion topic I've ever come across! Anyway, I'm sure you worked out enough from that thread to more than satisfy.

That's why I called him 'Sandra' :) I could see that digging up someone's details isn't necessarily a positive move. So completely agree with the thread removal.

If someone wants to get to know someone - why not do it via the PM system :)
