Yes
I don;t have the big packages so only around £40 a month, but still...

I think the only thing we'll miss going back to FreeSat (plus Amazon as I'm a prime member anyway) is the stuff for the kids - Boomerang and Disney.

Have any of you others dumped Sky and have kids, if so what did you find other than a sulking kid :D

I did it....I do have it back because after a year off they offered everything I had plus etc for £26 a month..was around 45/50 ish.... I think my year is coming to an end so may get rid again.
I didn't find it too bad, kids didn't sulk, they found series on Netflix and we realised we didn't actually watch that much normal TV anyway.

Thats how we got it back, but as they do the price wanders back up, the kids grow a bit and get used to stuff and so on.

To be honest I don;t think they'll be too bad, they're good kids (don't tell them I said that!!)

Haha :D I must admit I thought my youngest would moan and struggle with it but he plays minecraft and watches vids of it etc so it was much better than I thought...
They do creep the prices up though I agree, I shall be calling them soon to see how long I have with this deal.
I begrudge paying for it when it's for just a bit of kids chanel here and there

I think as more and more people get "super fast" broadband the idea of watching tv fed from a glorified dustbin lid on the roof of your house will seem a bit dated - almost like watching movies that are printed onto round bits of plastic and putting them in a slot

They will adjust.........

Its only a sewer in your home anyway the things kids are fed via these channels............and you save a load of cash! take em on holiday!

I was without Sky for about 3 weeks recently, kids were not happy and neither was I but begrudged paying full whack. Managed to get 60% off for 12 months! I did online chat, said I was about to sign with another provider for 12 months, what could they do?

Sometime in the early 1970's I read an article in one of the newspapers, I've forgotten which one, which talked about television and how people were complaining about the programmes. It contained the line "It is important to remember that the function of 95% of television programming is to act as chewing gum for the mind." I still think they were right.
