I received my refurbished D4, delivered by UPS last night.

Who did it come from - Nikon ?

I'd send however you bought it from a copy of that photos and tell them it's totally un-acceptable.You may have been lucky this time, but that won't always be the case for some poor sod.

The Nikon USA service center...
I will be following up with them... I might insist on sending it back for a once over at their expense. Just to make sure nothing is out of whack that I might not find right away.

Totally lazy/couldn't be arsed packing attitude that, I'd be compelling a detailed email and phone call with photographic proof.

Shockingly POOR!!!!!

:eek::eek:

After communicating with them they are providing 6mo warranty against any potential issue that might arise due to the (lack of) packaging. That's better than the standard 90day "refurbished" warranty.

I have to say it was a lot less painful dealing with them than I anticipated... Now I'm negotiating to make the warranty transferable as I want to move the camera on.

Nikon service seems to be getting a regular spate of complaints for sloppiness recently!

That's shocking ! I never send anything even cheap items with such lack of protection in a parcel and UPS leaving it on the porch !
It sounds like very poor service all round there it could've quite easily been stolen :eek:

If it had been stolen I would probably be better off... I wouldn't need to sell it.
