I have just bought the ipad mini, and card reader, I want to transfer some photos from my android to ipad, I have the adapter for the micro sd card, so earlier on I tried to transfer but it comes up no photos on card, I took a couple of pics with camera and put card in reader and it transfers ok, anyone know how to do the transfer from android to I pad,
thanks

No idea about the adapter (description?) but you could use DropBox or similar.

The iPad will read the photos when they are in a camera roll format structure. Normally like in a dcim sub directory etc. it shouldn't do it when it is just a bunch of files.

I honestly don't understand why to make it so hard for yourself unless you have no internet nor computer access. But I would sync either via the cloud or via a computer.

Can you transfer the photos from the Android phone to your computer?
If so you can put them into a folder on your computer e.g. 'My iPad Photos', then connnect your iPad to the computer via iTunes and set iTunes to sync with the iPad 'Photos' in that folder on your computer.

not really trying to make it hard, my thinking was buy adapter = card reader......plug in micro sd card in adapter then in card reader, transfer, as I said when spoke to girl in shop I explained what I wanted to do she said it could be done,:)

when I went into cloud setting it only gave me a option to share, I only want to store photos as a album,:)

I will have a look at this, failing that I will just put photos on ipad from camera which works ok, only really wanted everything on one device, :)

It is a card reader! However it only reads it in a camera format. It has been like that since the release of the iPad.
