Often for one reason or another I want to download a picture to work on in photoshop.

Just discovered you can open a file by pasting in the URL rather than downloading to 'somewhere', hunting for it and opening it.

Then if you just dump it with unsaved changes you haven't cluttered up your hard drive to clear later if you remember.

Depending upon your set-up you should be able to drag the picture from the site directly into PS as well.

Where/how do you paste it please?

Anthony.

With photoshop open, click open (a file) top left.
You get a window to navigate to the folder with your image.
But instead just paste in the location as a web address and it will download and open it.

Thanks for that. I was trying to use the 'new' and then looking for 'paste' as you do when bringing in an image from the clipboard.

As you say "I never knew that..."

Anthony.
