Yes
I have recently moved away from London and need to find a good place to get my film scanned. The place I send my film to be processed offers batch scans and contacts - which are good initially. But what I am really looking for is somewhere to get my best images scanned at high resolutions on a virtual drum scanner, giving me a good starting point for post. Does anyone know of a good service that they use and trust?

Are you talking slides or negatives here? BTW Welcome to TP!

Thanks for the welcome.
Colour Negative 120 usually - although I do use 35mm and slide occasionally in both formats.
Have looked into Blue Sky and am not sure about the quality of their scanners.
Do you know how much Palm labs charge for 60mb scans? This is a good archive size of file for me.

I saw an Ad in BJP for this:
http://www.negscanner.co.uk/
They are a dedicated service and cheaper than other labs. I tried them out with some medium format I wanted scanned and was very impressed by the quality and the fact that they deliver the film back special delivery for free!
hope this helps

Call me suspicious but 2 people who sign up today both recommend a company no-one here has heard of before with their first and only post

Happy to be proven wrong but this seems a little fishy

Sorry to disappoint, but I'm real and not a computer program :-)
I hadn't heard of them either until last week. I've just joined and saw this post so responded because I could. Actually I only noticed he was a newbie too after I replied.
