Hi, just today i got my camera out, and turnt it on. i swicthed it to manual focas, and then back to auto, when i did this the camera made i high pitch sound, and the lens did not budge. why is it doing this?
 
what lens was on it & did the camera show any error message?
 
on a sigma 70-300mm apo macro, and no it didn't show any warning messages.
 
could well be the lens that is at fault rather than the camera.
If you swap to another lens does it work?
