I need help

in more ways than one but for now lets stick to photos

I had to do a team shot at the weekend, apart from the light it went fine but I didn't notice one small detail, the rider second from the right hadn't cleaned his boots :doh:

Is there anyway this can be "fixed" and if so what's the best way to go about it?

I have just had a look on the large shot and if you are meaning the young guy at the front with the brown boot then even on the large version posted you can hardly see any marks. If you had not mentioned it then you would never notice it.

However if that is the issue and its even more noticeable on the full size then use the clone tool on a light opacity to correct it should not be any problem at all. Duplicate the layer first and work on the new one in case you make any mistakes

You could always nick the guy's boot to the right of him, clone it in and change the colour of the blue panel.

You could also try the dodge tool.

Have you tried the colour replacement tool? Isolate the boot roughly first, then select colour replacement, use the eye dropper on the boot to select the colour, alter the "fuzzyness" with the slider until all of the boot is selected then alter the colour to your liking. Do it all on a seperate layer and then tidy it up afterwards.

That method should work really well for this shot

Well after a good few hours trying to improve it, it doesn't matter Just got an email in from the guy saying he's mad with the guys for not smiling, wearing dodgy hats, dirty gear. Have to admit I feel partially responsible due to my inexperience in that situation.

Asking for a price for a whole days shoot including time on the bikes, the lot. Kinda scary really
