I need another new hoover!

Perhaps I've been unlucky with bagless cleaners but every one I have owned has been a pain to empty.

This is not bagless, its not cheap (though in comparison to some others not as expensive as I thought) and its not light, but Sebo is very good.

Also found Henry to be good.

Cutting ivy down - oh no:(

How much floor will the gtech do before it is full? Capacity sounds small. Doesn't seem to have a hose either so it won't do stairs or upholstery?

Does all 8 rooms in our house at least twice a day for a week, so its pretty good. It compacts the dust into bales so holds a lot more than you'd think. No it doesn't have a hose, which is why we bought the handheld one too, which had a long stretchy hose as well as a long solid extension. In fact they sent us two, so we can put them together and reach the ceiling easily.

(@Cobra Don't you dare say a word )
Shushing as ordered :p

I reckon some of them are using the cat flap...
Then Huston, you have a problem :D

I didn't know you could get a wet and dry henry... I will check those out as well. As much as I like nice looking hoovers a dustbin that does that job might be a more sensible idea (y)

Karcher also make a wet and dry, I have one, that I use for those little accidents :D
& hoovering out bits from the pond.
It wasn't outrageously priced either, but then I've had it a fair few years as it only gets light use.
It has a long hose, but doubt that it'll reach the full length of the stairs,
(Never measured it TBH)
But it'll certainly go well over half way.

You vacuum twice a day every day???

I'm leaning towards a Charles or a George and the new hairo motorised head thingy for pet hair.

Might have to see if my 14 year old panasonic cylinder still works. One of the cats puked on it while it was stored under the stairs so I was going to sling it as it was covered. Ugh.

Yuck, that's seriously too gross and filthy and the motor filter needs replacing and you can't get those now. Found the awkward bagless cylinder which you can't get filters for either any more. Great! Hoovered out the old one (the irony) with the vax. No tools on it as it doesn't have the handy tool storage thingy so they've long since evaporated. Will have to use tools from the puked on hoover as luckily they've only puked away from that bit.

Tried the vax with the hose and stick just to see whether it is as useless as I remember. It is.

Hopefully the awkward to empty panasonic will last enough for its replacement's replacement's replacement to arrive...

Well you know what they say, 'nothing sux like an electrolux'

Being pedantic you need a vacuum cleaner, Hoover is a brand name. :)

Personally I use a Morphy Richards Never Loses Suction Complete Clean 73415 Bagless Upright Vacuum Cleaner, 1200 Watt which I find to be excellent

You superstar. That's just like the Bissel I couldn't find again

Balls to George ;)

Any specific reason?

Because my wife is an OCD mentalist and we also have a dog that leaves more hair on the floor than is on his body.
