But if they're photographers you can't use the excuses "Oh this one is artisticly out of focus", "It was supposed to be underexposed"....... :D

Congratulations Dee, any photos of the "Rock" yet?

Much like the others have said I'm sure there will be a queue. Personally I'd love the challenge of shooting another tog's wedding. OK there is the issue that I'd have to perform at my best (but don't I have to do that at any wedding anyway ;)). To my mind there will be some benefits at least you'll know where and how to stand and know what you like and don't like.

(seriously, take a look [although my website is in need of a big update] if you PM me your mail address I can forward a couple of sideshows I've done of recent weddings)

Thanks all, FYI... it was Top of the Rock ;) Heres a pic of the ring...

And a story I posted on Facebook...

Now, I dont know if Daz had planned it for Top of the Rock from the beginning, (it doesnt sound like it though), but I think we postponed TotR twice due to weather, and just general knackeredness. We finally decided on the Wednesday, lovely clear day, still bloody cold though. Decided to go about 4.30pm so I could get some sunset shots.

TotR has three different viewing levels, and we were working our way up to the top, getting shots along the way. On the middle floor, Daz left me alone for 10 minutes to get some pictures... what he would tell me later, was that was time spent getting the ring out of his bag, and hiding in his pocket without me seeing :)

Up to the top floor, and the views were amazing, and all open view too. No fences, or glass walls. The sun was just dipping behind the buildings, and Daz asked me to stand against the wall, facing the Empire State Building so he could get a photo of me looking out, (I got a similar one of him with the Statue of Liberty). From then on, I can only remember snippets of information...

As I was still looking away, I heard him say, "Dee, Ive got a present for you", and I turned around to find him on one knee, with a black box in his hand. I can remember looking everywhere but his face, and I distinctly remember someone whispering, "Oh my god! Look look over there! Hes proposing!". He asked me to take off my glove, which he took from me, and took my hand. I still hadnt looked at him at this point, I was still dumbfounded, looking at people looking at us :D

I still cant remember hearing what he said to me, it wasnt sinking in at all, until he opened the box, and I just about caught him saying, "Will you marry me?" I couldnt physically speak, until a woman in the crowd shouted, "Did you say yes?" I then said back, "I havent answered him yet!" I ended up saying yes to said woman instead of to Daz :D But he knew it was meant for him, he put the ring on my finger, we hugged, and everyone around us cheered and clapped :)

We had some photos taken by a security guy, (I think?) and the woman I said yes to came up to us later and said she had caught a photo of us in the act, and could she email it to us! Looking at that photo, I look scared to death!!!! On the way out, we had random people coming up to us saying congratulations, was very surreal.

I also remember saying days before, I never wanted diamonds, cubic zirconia will do me nicely, I think we had walked past a jewellers at the time, and wanted to put his mind at rest ;) How the hell was I supposed to know he had already spent months researching diamonds?

Well there you have it, the best proposal story I ever could have wished for.

Signed,
Mrs Danielle Worrall \o/

many congrats to both of you :clap::clap:

and it sounds like it'll be a tpFlashMob on the day!!!!!

If everyone is happy to work for a tenner and a slice of cake, then you're all invited :D

God, picking a tog is going to be the hardest bit

congratulations ;)

my mate asked me today if i could do his wedding, then in the next sentence he wants me to be his best man !!!! :)
