a friend of mine is applying for an airline job and her mum has taken some pics of her to send with her application. However she has asked me to change the background colour from the cream to a pale blue (as the airline prefers blue).

I have tried and tried to do it on photoshop however I keep messing it up :(

Would anyone be willing to do this for me if i upload the pics???

Sorry for the cheekiness, but you dont get if you dont ask and ive tried :(

xxxx

thanks, can i ask what the best way to upload it is??

I'm trying with imageshack but its not workin :(

She wants the background pale blue just like the one above but if the blue could just be the wall so the floor stays. She also needs it cropping and preferably the bed not there

Thanks again to all those who have helped

Here's a quick crop and correct. Should have cloned the plug out, but.

Some good edits there! Cyclone gets the choccy biscuit though for avoiding the residue halos which are a bit of a give away.

Tbh that looks like a pretty poor cut and paste job, which is just what you want to avoid. She's too tight in the frame with her head too close to the top edge and the absence of any shadows at all, particularly on the floor, make it look like she's floating in mid air. Even a studio shot on a plain background would have a slight floor shadow to keep her anchored to the floor and avoid that floaty look. It's very difficult to now add a floor shadow convincingly.

I'd have to say you've had some pretty good edits offered and personally I think she'd be well advised to use any of the edits above where the background shadow has been retained as they look more natural.

I'm sure the airline are just looking for a nice photo which is representative of the applicant, and submiitting a sloppily done shot is lilkely to reflect badly on the amount of preparation she's put into her application in the eyes of the selection panel. While it's an interesting Photoshop exercise, the object is to get her a job. ;)

:agree:

There's nothing worse than freaky abstract David-Lynchian "there's-something-not-quite-right" photoshops like that. Use one of the natural edits above. And hope she gets the job! :)
