I need a better scanner.

The scanner I have is a fairly cheap Canon job. I think the maximum resolution id 640dpi or something. It scan photos okay, but I'm not overwhelmed by the results - colours can seem off, and the images come out looking a bit, well, bitty. Any recommendations for a replacement? £100 would be the most I could afford, and I need something compatible with Windows 10. The ability to scan negatives (35mm) would be a bonus.

You can shoot negs with your camera. Probably better than any domestic scanner on the market I would imagine. Not that I've ever done so.
