I really am at a loss to understand this ‘look’ I cannot look at these ‘trout mouth’ lips
without recoiling ! Am I in the minority ? Do many men find this look attractive ?
I guess ? the main idea is to look attractive to the opposite sex. Bemused. :$

Perhaps it isn't the opposite sex they are trying to attract.

A niche element of (primarily) a "First World Problem". Though, possibly akin to the 'size zero' impact on women's self image & health.

Such is life :banghead:

Looking at this article about these young ladies complaining they cant keep the fillers topped up (i didnt know about the filler craze) to me they look bloody awful.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/newsbeat-52728957

I agree - some women who go in for that sort of thing are verging on being vomit inducing. Add to that gross tattooing that looks like gangrene and body piercing for heaven's sake. Next thing will be women with beards !

It is very sad that some women(I don't think it is restricted to women but they seem to make up the majority) appear to measure their self worth by how many likes they have on social media sites and/or are, IMO, conned into believing a particular look is attractive. Therefore if they have what they believe is an attractive look, they must be 'better' in some way.

I don't like the trout pout look but what gets me more is the eyes... really heavy make up, comedy eyebrow positioning like they've sat on something sharp and huge false eyelashes. It seems to be a look that many women on TV go for and not just the younger ones either.

Like Doug above I don't like tattoos and piercings. I always imagine them taking a gob full of lager and squirting it out of every piercing like some mad lager fountain.

I know I'm not the target market, maybe no man is, maybe women do all this to themselves for themselves and other women. Same for the emaciated crack addict look, I can't see many if any men being the driving force here so it must be coming from other women, peer groups.

Didn't it actually start with Leslie Ash? must be approaching 20 years ago? So who else remembers the "Trout pout" of old?

And yes it all looks bloody silly...

I seem to recall that before her was 'Ivy Brennan' (can't remember her proper name) of Coronation St.

and even earlier, those african tribes with their lip plates o_O

You have to wonder whether that will be next, we already have people with
rings stretching holes on earlobes

Lynne Perrie. Yeah, she had plastic surgery and looked so different she got fired.
That was before Leslie Ash

We are watching the afternoon re-runs and they just buried her, although i dont think that was why

A couple stick in my mind, Katie Price and Michael Jackson.

I remember years ago seeing a picture of Katie Price when she was young, not a porno picture just a swim suit picture and she looked absolutely stunning. Surely there was no need for her to do what she's done to her body. As for Michael Jackson. WoW.

Oh and has anyone seen that Brazilian bloke Roddy Alves who made himself look like a Barbie doll?

Yes, she appeared on page 3 of the Sun before she had the implants. They were so unnecessary but I do wonder if she would have got as much fame/money if she hadn't.

TBH I doubt she would.
It just amazes me, generally, how some of these people ( Not just her) become "famous"
In the first place.
(But of course a big pair of tits is always going to help :D )

The second most common element in the universe after Hydrogen? Stupidity. :banghead:

Ah but Hydrogen exists across the universe whereas stupidity is mostly confined to Earth.

If we look at the relative ratio between Hydrogen and stupidity within the confines of our planet we find that stupidity is the considerably more common element.

I think we need more evidence of that. A one time colleague, who was a keen astronomer, told me that the number of novae suggested an unpleasant possibility.

It could be that there are many intellectual species even in our own galaxy. What if most of them are dangerous idiots who poke at things, just to see if they go bang?

Wasn't there a film like that, "Morons from outer space" or something?

To quote Tommy Lee Jones from MIB:

'The person is smart. People are dumb, panicky, dangerous animals, and you know it!'

I used to like Isaac Asimov stories and the way populations are influenced and controlled in some of his stories made me wonder if it actually happens. Perish the thought :D
