I'm starting to get impatient now! August the 24th and I will be able to get in the car and drive (with my dad!).

I should be ok with the basics of car control, I've driven some pretty awkward cars!

I was trying to get insured on my dad's speedster, with no joy, but at least I get to drive the caterham on track when I pass :D

Anyway, here's the car I'll be driving:

(awful photo I know, sorry!)

Someone has to much money. A fairly new Mini for your first car? Your going to be gutted when you bump it (which you will)

I just passed my test Monday morning, monday night my front driver side suspension spring snapped. On route to garage yesterday, the part of the spring still on the strut burst my tyre. So last 300 metres to garage done with hazards on and hobbling along - Good times.

Good luck with the driving and when your test comes around

I do have to share the car with my bro and sis, but I think that I might get the majority share!

Oh, and I definatly won't so much as put a scratch in it!! Neither my brother or my sister have put a scratch in it or the old one.. although my brother did put a big scratch in the caterham ;)

If you say so.........

Old cars have more soul Matt.....;).....,get an old Mini.......

Well I have got parking sensors :D ;)

ahhh, blind faith. have you seen how many cars have a post like dent in the back along with parking sensors!!

I wish I could see it on a track day

Do you track your cars?

By saying yours,I mean cars that you have bought and you pay the upkeep of.

My Dad's got a caterham which is relativly cheap to run for track days. He will let me drive it on track when I pass my test and already lets my brother drive it on track.

He lets us drive it on track so that we can learn to drive with an instructor on track to become better drivers and so that we realise that there is no point in driving quick on the roads when you can do it on track..

The Mini is a car that I will have main use of when I am around, but as I go to Boarding school my mum drives most often..

So for clarity, you will be able to track your Dads cars?
