I used to work for a car hire company and we have a load of mercedes that the regs all started " KN03 "

Always made me chuckle that someone was going to shell out big bucks to buy a car with a reg that started like that.

Would have been funnier on a BMW though...

Up here they didn't issue the SN prefix in 2007 because .....

according the DVLA:

"It is our policy that any registration mark that can be construed as being offensive to people will be suppressed. In this case, the SN07 marks would have been too similar to the word 'snot' and, as that could possibly offend some buyers, they were replaced with new TN07 registrations."

That's not a valid UK plate - the letter I has never been used on the mainland, only in NI

There is an Audi TT on my estate with the registration T80NED. On two occasions now the gitmaster general driving has almost hit me in the side of my car. Now that would have been fun filling in the insurance claim form.
