I know it's not a DSLR...

I beat you to it! I'm glad I'm not the only one that is impressed, it looks mouth wateringly good to me. And pretty affordable.

I will be looking out for feedback before I think about getting one, but it does sound like an April 1st joke to me.

I kinda know what you mean...all that amazing sounding stuff...on a teeny sensor. TBH, if it gives the same quality as the cheap S1000FD and S2000HD, I'd be way happy.

I'm sure it will produce some decent pictures...the 30x zoom will be all but useless unless on a tripod though. I'm an ex-prosumer owner & would happily revert if one came along to compete with a decent DSLR, unfortunately many of the manufacturers are still stuck in the "marketing" race though.

However, it does look promising that Fuji has stuck with a 10 million pixel sensor, rather than go for 14+

Yes, i think 10 is the right way to go. I hope we ge some reviews soon!

Specs are pretty wicked on that. Wonder what range it holds the 2.8 aperture for

I started my dgital experience with a bridge camera and am still a big fan, although I do not own one at the moment. If I were in the market I would be tempted by this.

That does look very very good for a compact/bridge!!

Shame it uses AA batteries instead of a proper rechargeable one though...
