I had a **** day at work. It was made even ******* by a negitive meeting later on in the day. I had £80 in my pocket and happened to walk past a camera shop....and there it was, the 50mm 1.8D for exactly....£80. You can go figure what happened :D

I'm going to try it out tomorrow. Impulisve sending or what!
 
How does it feel to have £80 in your pocket? It's been so long I can't remember!

Lets put it this way, it wasnt there for long ;) But...

It felt damn great. It wasnt even my cash either, it was an early xmas present from the father, which was very generous but I guess it makes up for the five years of Bdays and Xmas' that I didnt even recieve a card ;):bang:

I'd managed to save myself quite a bit, too. I first saw in another shop the 50 1.8G lens with the auto moter etc, but....for me it's not worth the extra when it can focus with my camera anyway....I mean, whats the differences between the G and the D? Whats the 'better' lens?

I am also looking at getting a Black nikon FM2N so this lens will also work with that. So happy :)
 
I always think the impulse buys are the best. I hate having to save up for months before I go and buy something, it's sooo tedious. Hope you enjoy using your lens, I think my last impulse buy was my 5D MkIII back in march lol.
 
That lens will give you so much more than £80 worth, no question. Cracking little lens. As are all nifty-fifty lenses ;)
 
I have come back to Nikon from Canon that is the first lens i have bought and i love it great buy..:thumbs:

I can't remember the last time I walked past a camera shop, there are non in my area!

The 50mm 1.8D is a great little lens, nice neat and light and it does produce some lovely images. I like this on my old D80 as a walk about lens.

It's nice buying something on impulse, as it can get tedious trudging around places looking at prices etc.

Judging from your gait, and canter, it most definitely does.
You probably need some more Sudocrem applied......and NO, that's NOT an offer!
