Is @ST4 on holiday?

I heard about the front page of the Mail on Today today and have been waiting all morning for him to be outraged by it. Still nothing.

I'm outraged.

(For anybody who missed it, apparently there's nobody left in the UK who can make a decent sandwich and we need to import sandwich makers from Hungary. You couldn't really make it up. Unless you work for the Mail.)

The Guardian seem to have proof. http://www.theguardian.com/media/me...ritain-concede-daily-mail-front-page-is-right

Well, if you're hungary, you might appreciate a sandwich!

Steve.

Steve's ( @ST4) busy sorting out the rest of the worlds problems,
in other threads, at the moment.

But I'm sure when stops for a break and a sarnie, he'll drop by
to get his fill of this one (y)

Thank you for calling Steve's Outrage Hotline.
We're sorry, but all our British operators are busy with other outraged patriots right now.
Your call is important to us and we thank you for your patience in these trying time.
You are number eight.......hundred and thirty nine in the queue.

Did you really mean patients rather than patriots?

I made a belting sandwich just there, not because I am from Hungry, but because I was hungry.

Perhaps I should open up a sandwich shop as I am British and a British person invented them to prove that British people are capable of making sandwiches.

Are sandwiches British? Honestly? I don't know the answer I'm not being facetious.

Ahh but what was in the sandwich and where was it sourced?

Maybe before you opened said shop you could learn the difference between Hungary and hungry. Big clue - only one of them will be satisfied by a sandwich ;)

It would appear so and they are named after a town in the west country. Foody area, not far is Cheddar Gorge.

West Country?

All this talk of food has given me hunger pangs. So just made a soda bread with fresh ham slices, Cashel Blue Cheese, my daughter's home made onion chutney with a bit of chopped salad and a tiny bit of mustard. Tempted to make another one!

I have been online to look at the story of the new sarnie construction factory. Good grief; the place is not opening till 2016 and Northampton is not a high unemployment area..... Maybe Barclaycard could help out.

I think the company are ringing alarm bells a bit early. Trainees for the sandwich assembly lines might need 15-20 minutes on the line training..... Yep plus 14 months interviewing, security vetting, hints on hair nets and hygiene.... and a company songlist?

Bewildering array to fill the months....

Steve

Um, I'm pretty sure there's a bit in Homer where they make kebabs and whack them on bread.
I thought he liked Chicken.........
Mmmmmmmmmmmmmmm chicken :)

And Duff beer TBH?

West Country?

If coming into Cheddar for cheese via the A38 you can miss out the Gorge and, instead, gorge on the samples offered in the cheese shops! ta da....

Cheddar Gordge is there, and Cheddar cheese presumably comes from there, and Cheddar cheese is a key ingredient in a sandwich...

since when was cheese a key ingrediment in an egg sarnie then ?

West Country Farmhouse Cheddar, yes. But cheddar can come from anywhere. Blame the EU. (For once , it's actually their fault.)
